Users are not allowed to:

1. Enter the ACC with food or drinks.
2. View inappropriate material or websites.
3. Use cell phones within the lab.
4. Turn off computers
5. Talk loudly

Also, users who need to do school work have priority of computer use over users using gaming and chat applications.

Dealing with difficult lab users

Should a user violate lab policy, action must be taken by lab aides and lab supervisors.

1. Approach the user and calmly let them know about the policy that they are violating.
2. Should the user become irate, suggest that they leave the lab.
3. If they decide to stay in the lab and continue violating the lab policy, tell your supervisor.
4. If a supervisor is not available, call Public Safety (ext. 2000) and ask for assistance in removing a disruptive patron.
