If a user cannot turn on the Projector:
a. If the remote control’s power is on, try changing the batteries
b. Always carry extra fresh AA batteries when you go on a help desk call.
a. Cycle through all the channels (i.e. Video 1, Data 1) and see if you still get no picture.
a. If there is more than one RED light on the bottom of the projector, physically unplug the power from the unit and plug back in.
b. Try Powering on the unit with the remote again
c. If the unit Powers on but does NOT turn on the lamp; and a RED light is on the “Lamp” indicator, the lamp needs to be replaced.
If the Projector turns on but the correct source device does not display:
a. Check cables on the back of the unit. They should be coming from the “Video Out” jacks.
b. Make sure the unit is on and that the tape is playing.
c. Switch between the two Video sources on the remote. Sometimes the channels are slightly different from how they are labeled.
d. If you still get no picture, try a different tape or make sure the tape is cued up to the beginning.
a. The VCR power must be on to operate the visualizer.
b. Carefully read the instructions that are attached to the Visualizer itself.
c. Make sure you have the Backlight on for Transparencies and the Normal Lights on for Opaque documents.
a. If the computer is on and neither Data channels on the remote will display what you see on the monitor, reach behind the CPU and see that the Video cable is connected properly.
b. Unscrew and remove the cable and screw back in and see if that fixed the problem.
c. Also check the connections on the box under the teacher’s workstation that splits the Monitor signal to the Projector and Monitor. These connections may get bumped.
